Web30 jul. 2024 · My plasterer chased out the crack to about 5mm depth using a diamond blade, used a cross weave fibreglass tape and used jointing compound feathering out from the crack (he didn't like cornice cement for this, said it got too hard, I have used it before with success). You can repair render but, it doesnt matter how good your plasterer/renderer is it will always look patched especially when the sun shines on it. Best to go for a new rerender, prepare back ground, sbr slurry wall ,prior to scratch coat and float coat, with water proofer. Without looking approx £35 pr metre.
